with her quilting guild.
She did a great job! Thanks for sharing! |

Here's a look at Mary B.'s
Tuesday Club 2011 Connect Four quilt.
Mary changed the layout a little and we
think it looks great! Thanks for
bringing it in, Mary! |

Doris M.
created this striking wall hanging for
her sister. It was a real labor of love,
but we think it came out great!
|

So, come to an
embroidery class and what do you get?
Some pretty nice show 'n tell while your
embroidery machine hums away!
Joan M. (below left) and Donna G.
(below right) hold up their latest
creations and Nancy L. (left)
displays her adorable snowman!

Another Tuesday
Club 2010 passes the finish line and
this one's a real winner! Jean Z. is
all smiles as she shows off her quilt. Her
choice of a pale green background and a more
controlled color selection makes this
version of the 2010 Tuesday Club quilt a
real standout! |

Gerrie F. brought in her latest creation
to share with us and we're glad she did!
It's just our our cup of tea!
|

Karen B.
poses next to her Sparkle Christmas tree
wall hanging from Sarah Vedeler's Sparkle
CD. A beautiful holiday keepsake!
|

Another one done! Jean Z. started her
Glorified Nine-Patch in a class and just put
the finishing touches on it. Looks great!
|
|
 Malayna
J. shows off
outfits made for her by her grandma, Jean Z.!
Jean used Maywood's 13 Going on 30
fabrics for Malayna's tiered ruffled skirt and
Lakehouse's Flowers Allover for her
Easter dress. Very styling! |

Here's a sweet baby
girl quilt made by Angela L. Angela used
pink and white fabrics to frame machine
embroidered floral hearts and Sunbonnet Sue
blocks. Beautiful work, thanks for sharing! |
|

Nancy L.
brought in this absolutely gorgeous bed runner
she created with Hoffman Bali Pops and Judy Neimeyer's
Bali Bed Runner pattern. Really
wonderful work! |

That's Christina L.
smiling in back of her Watermelon Log Cabin
quilt. Looks good enough to eat! Thanks for the
show 'n tell, Christina! |

Here's a quilt that is a
true labor of love! Carol K. hand painted the
fish blocks and the center block showing her son in
his boat, embroidered the outer border with fishing
tackle and hand quilted the entire top. To top it
all off, it's Carol's FIRST QUILT! We hope it's not
her last because it's a real work of art!
Thank you so much for sharing it with us, Carol. |
|

Jean O.
brought in her "bloomingly" beautiful quilt made
from Timeless Treasures' In Bloom fabrics. A real
spring touch to brighten up a rainy day! Keep up the
great work Jean! |

Here's one more version of
the Tuesday Club 2010 quilt made by Sandy E.
Sandy completed the quilt top while she was sitting
out a New York winter in sunny Florida! Good to have
you back up north Sandy and thanks for the show and
tell! |
|

Here's another beautiful
version of Gerri Richard's Cool Cat Creations'
Annabella Bag made by Mary S. Mary
used Hoffman's Pink Lemonade Bali Pops to make this
bright and sunny bag! Great job, Mary! |
|
|

Chickie B.
brought in her All That Glitters quilt
for a little show and tell during Tuesday Club.
Chickie used a Patchworks' Packet of 12 fat quarters
to create the quilt top and a pretty cream with gold
metallic for the star sashings. And it's all done in
plenty of time for the holidays! Thanks for sharing,
Chickie! |

Lois D. made the
Professional Tote using 13 Going On 30
fabrics from Maywood Studio and it's absolutely
ADORABLE! She complemented her tote with matching
accessories for her laptop and other necessities.
LOVE IT! |
|

Joan M. has got a
brand new bag! Well, actually a few of them. She
made all four bags and the wallet
using Cool Cat Creations patterns by Gerri Richards
and a Blue Hawaiian Hoffman Bali Pop.
Pretty nice work! |
|

Diane H.
brought us her Embroidablock
TNT from Hoopsisters for a little show and tell at
the start of Embroidablock 2011Goose Tracks class.
Diane stitched her TNT on the Janome MC350E in the
5" block size. It looks great! |
|

Lois D.
also brought her Embroidablock TNT in for all to
see. Lois used her Janome MC11000SE to sew out the
8" blocks in gorgeous batiks. Absolutely beautiful!
|
|

Margaret
M. brought in a quilt made almost completely
from her stash. (She only had to add fabric for the
dark stars and a few extra lights for the
background.) Following a Fons & Porter pattern, she
paper pieced the flying geese and tackled Y-seams
for the stars. The end result is most definitely
worth the effort! Thanks for sharing, Margaret! |

Remember our Snowmen of the
Month BOTM from last year? Well, Diane H. put
her snow people together in one quilt instead of
individual wall hangings and we think it's pretty
cute! |
|

And the
winner is...
Joan M. for being the first to come in with a
completed Tuesday Club 2010 Twisted Traditional
quilt! (Well, the top is done and that good enough
for us.) It's absolutely beautiful!
|
|

Karen B.
came in a close second with her completed
Tuesday Club 2010 quilt top! Karen used sunny
yellows and blues to create her quilt. Thanks for
sharing! |
|

Nancy L.
came in just before Christmas to show us her newest
Christmas quilt. She followed a pattern from
McCall's Quilting and reoriented the wreaths so the
quilt could be used as a wall hanging above the
couch. We loved it! |
|

Isn't this beautiful?
Sheila R. brought in her completed MarJen for
Error quilt. She stepped out of her box to try
brighter colors and we think the result is
wonderful! Thanks for sharing, Sheila! |
|

Joyce M.
brought in this absolutely wonderful memory
quilt she's making for her daughter Amanda to take
to college. Theater playbills and tickets (that's
the inner border!) were scanned and printed
out and used to created this wonderful tribute to
Amanda's love of theater. It's a true work of love!
Thank you for bringing it in to share, Joyce.
|

Judy R. used seven panels to create this
absolutely stunning One Block Wonder quilt.
She left one panel complete and used the other six
panels to make the kaleidoscope blocks. It's
beautiful and we're so glad she brought it in for a
show 'n tell! |

Nancy L. brought in
the quilt she made using Creative Grids' Double
Strip 45° Ruler. She added a checkerboard border for
an extra pop! |
|

Arden G.
(right), with a little help from her friend
Margaret, displays the 2009 Tuesday Club quilt
she titled "Big Sister Is Watching!" The
diamond border really sets off the blocks. Thanks
for sharing, Arden! |
|

Here's a
picture of "Rosebud, My Way" made by Kathy
S. Kathy used Nu-Suede from Kaufman Fabrics for
the outer triangles and it really gives the quilt a
rich look. Beautiful work, Kathy! |
|

Kathy E.
brought in this sweet
"pretty-in-pink-with-a-touch-of-green" Four-Patch
and Pinwheels quilt she made for a friend. Very
cute! Thanks for sharing, Kathy! |

Jean Z. brought in
her New York Beauty for us to oooh and
ahhh over! A border stripe with mitered corners
gives the illusion of a triple border. Very nice!
|

Well, Kim Y. was busy! Using Patchworks'
Party Mix pattern and Patchworks' Packets, she made
not one but two baby quilts. One for a gift and one
just because she loved the fabrics! The quilt to the
left was made using "Wind It Up" fabrics and below,
"Itty Bitty Baby" fabric in the blue and brown
colorway. And, for that extra touch, Kim added a
small accent flange to each quilt. Very nice! Thanks
for bringing them in! |
|

|

Nancy L. stands
behind her gorgeous sampler quilt. She bordered each

border and repeated the pattern overall. The result
is absolutely beautiful! |
|

Ruth L.

Marcus Fabrics' Itty Bitty Baby line in blues and
browns. It's absolutely adorable! Thanks for sharing
your work, Ruth! |
|

What do you get when you combine new with
traditional? A stunning Irish Chain quilt embellished with gorgeous
embroidery! Originally seen in Creative Expressions Issue #6, our Irish
Rose quilt was made back in 2005, but we thought this was the perfect
time of year to bring it out! Embroidery is from Jenny Haskins' Rose
Bud collection. |
|

Norma P. proudly displays her gorgeous bargello quilt. Norma
spent a lot of time choosing just the right fabrics and the effort
really shows!
Thanks for sharing! |

Eileen H. brought in her Embroidablock wall hanging for us to
see. She used red, white and blue with a touch of gold to achieve a
nautical look. Beautiful work, Eileen!
|

Sandy E. shows off her 2009
Thimbleberries quilt done the Patchworks' way in absolutely beautiful
batiks. She really did a wonderful job piecing and appliquéing her
quilt. Nicely done, Sandy! |
|

Anita B. brought in her
double Irish Chain quilt so we could "ooo" and "ahhh" over the beautiful
quilting (and the quilt, of course). The quilting was done by Patty
Cline of Chestnut Bay Quilting.

|

Olive A. brought in four pillowcases for
us to add to the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge. We'll be collecting
pillowcases to donate to local charities. For more information, go to
www.allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases.
Thanks for your caring and donation, Olive. |
|

Kathy C. sent us
this picture of her Embroidablock Wall Hanging
proudly displayed in her home. She used a beautiful
combination of blues and greens to create her quilt.
Beautiful job, Kathy! |
|

This is a gorgeous red,
black and white log cabin quilt made by Nancy L.
It started off as a small wall hanging but took on a
life of its own as it grew into a much larger piece.
And some of those "logs" are really little! Gorgeous
work, Nancy! Thanks for sharing with us. |
|

Joan M.
displays the Mo's Basket quilts she made for
her granddaughters. Each girl came into the
store and picked out her very own fabrics. They had
very definite opinions and we think they did a great
job! |
|

We saw Kim Y.'s
Glorified 9-Patch on display at the Peconic Quilt
Show and asked her to bring it into the store
so we could "ooo" and "ahhh" over it! Kim made
the quilt in Gloria's class here at Patchworks and did a
beautiful job quilting it. Thanks so much for indulging us,
Kim! |
|
|

Kathy C. stands in
front of this absolutely stunning quilt she made for her son's
upcoming wedding. Kathy used Jenny Haskin's Moulin Rouge CD
to create the embroideries in the blocks, setting triangles,
borders, sashings and even the cornerstones! To add more dimension
to the blocks, Kathy created an underlying embroidery.
Click on the picture for a
close-up view. |

Kathy created this additional embroidery to
fill in the center of the design. |
