Kathy C. stands in
front of this absolutely stunning quilt she made for her son's
upcoming wedding. Kathy used Jenny Haskin's Moulin Rouge CD
to create the embroideries in the blocks, setting triangles,
borders, sashings and even the cornerstones! To add more
dimension to the blocks, Kathy created an underlying embroidery. Of
course, she did this all on her Pfaff Creative Vision! (What
else?!)

Kathy created this additional embroidery to
fill in the center of the design. |

This is Sheila R.'s
version of Susan Cleveland's Macaroni quilt from Piping
Hot Curves. Sheila used all Oriental fabrics and a pale
green/gold sashing with gold cornerstones. Beautiful! |

Arden G. displays her 2007 Tuesday Club quilt. Very nicely done
and thanks for bringing it in! |

Judy T. combined machine embroidery
from Woodland Creatures with a quilt pattern from Country
Quilter's LocoMotion pattern to create this vibrant baby
quilt. Very cute! |
|

Chickie B. took the
opportunity at April's Tuesday Club to show off her 2006 Tuesday
Club quilt. |
|
|

Pauline H. brought in
her 2007 Tuesday Club quilt to show off and we're so glad she did!
Pauline added a thin border of wavy black and white stripes around
the rows and appliquéd Native American designs to complement the
Seminole strips. The results are fantastic! Thanks for showing us
your work, Pauline! |
|

Anita B. brought in two
of her completed(!) class projects for us to see. To the left is the
Confetti Log cabin created in Gloria's class and below is Petal
Pushers. Great job, Anita and thanks for sharing! |

Dottie C. shows off her
Mariner's Compass made in class at Patchworks. Using Quiltsmart's
printed interfacing, it was easy to keep the points sharp and the
seams meeting! Thanks for sharing, Dottie! |
|

Diane created a more
traditional feel with her Mariner's Compass from the same class here
at Patchworks. It's always interesting to see what can be
accomplished with a different choice of fabrics. |
|

Christina L., one of our newer quilters, is on a roll! Here's
her version of the Confetti Log Cabin created in Gloria's class.
Beautiful job, Christina and keep on quilting! |

Arlene D. created this gorgeous twin-size Trip Around the World
quilt using a stunning combination of black, cream, and silver
prints accented with metallic gold.
Very impressive! |

Here's a shot of a few of
the Hunter's Star quilts from our January class taught by Chris B.
Each one is a winner!

Kathy, Sheila, Jean, MaryAnne and that's Karen in the front! |

Jean Z.
is Patchworks' very first pin-up girl! She is featured in
Eastern Long Island Hospital's 2008 Report to the Community
Calendar highlighting the excellent care she received as a breast
cancer patient and survivor. Jean chose to pose with a few of her
favorite quilts (French Braids, of course!). Quilting has become her
passion!

Kathy
C. created the traditional "Storm at Sea" quilt using not
so traditional colors and the result is stunning! |
|

Catherine sent us a picture
of her Dahlia Table Topper made using Quiltsmart's printed
interfacing.
Absolutely gorgeous! |

Here's a look at several French Braid
quilts done by a group of some very talented ladies!

Debbie welcomed Louis
Carney to Patchworks for the Sensational Sewing Secrets
presentation. |
|

Louis wowed the crowd with
fantastic ideas, tips and techniques. His enthusiasm was contagious!
|
|

The members of the audience
got a chance to "wow" Louis right back with a display of their own
handiwork!
Everyone had a great time! We
can't wait to see what you do next, Louis! |

Kathy C. combined
Kaufman's Color Quake fabrics with Henry Glass' Spiral
Geometrics to create this striking version of the Picket Fence
quilt. |
|

Here's a group of happy
campers...I mean, quilters! Everyone created her own vision of a
scrappy Log Cabin quilt in Gloria's class. Great work,
everyone! |
|
|

Kathy brought in her
Outback Safari quilt from Awash with Color. Kathy
made her quilt with a gorgeous range of batik fabrics and the result
is stunning! |
|
Sheila,
Jean and Karen show off their Regatta quilts (from Our
Best Seasonal Quilts book) they made in class with Bertha. Each
quilt, though the same pattern, has a completely different "feel."
And each one is a winner! |

Lacy took a little nap
while her mommy was busy working on a project. And this gorgeous
dragonfly print was just the perfect spot for a snooze! |
